Principal and Chief Operating Officer
With more than 30 years of hospitality and lodging industry experience, Si Sloman is well positioned for his role as Chief Operating Officer for ARDENT Hotel Advisors. Within the industry, Mr. Sloman has held positions with global responsibilities spanning all areas of hotel operations with multiple brands. He is a specialist in turnaround situations, with a particular focus on revenue improvement, cost management and leadership development. He has consistently developed innovative and creative solutions that achieve optimum financial performance.
In his most recent position with Meyer Jabara Hotels as executive vice president and chief operating officer, Mr. Sloman initiated company-wide performance measures that created clear accountability for more than 4,000 associates resulting in profit growth of over 24 percent. He also developed and deployed a new reservation call center for 21 of the company’s 27 hotels improving reservation conversion to over 50 percent.
His accomplishments as senior vice president of operations with Best Western International include development of a global quality assurance program that created worldwide brand identity standards, initiation of competitive design standards for the brand’s North American hotels and a plan for product segmentation internationally, as well as the brand’s first guest satisfaction survey initiative.
He has held senior management positions, through successive mergers and acquisitions with Pickett Suite Hotels, Guest Quarters Suite Hotels, Doubletree, Promus and Hilton hotel chains, leading to responsibility for 42 hotels as regional vice president of the Northern California and Hawaii regions.
